TRU Toastmasters Story Telling Workshop
The TRU Toastmasters Club will be hosting a FREE storytelling workshop with Alicia Ashcroft and this is what they have to say about it:
“When sharing tales of your student experience and professional development – it’s all in how you frame it.
We only want to share the greatest hits when it comes to our personal narratives, but stories need crisis, struggle, discovery, transformation and resolution. Without setbacks or forces of antagonism, the story has nowhere to go.
By embracing our mistakes, foibles, conflicts, and humiliations, we can explore the lessons that we absorbed through those errors – and begin to see these ‘failures’ as ‘success’.
Through the magic of theatre games, Writer & Storyteller Alicia Ashcroft will help participants reframe their own stories (and have fun along the way!)” – TRU Toastmasters Club
Date: Monday, November 18th, 2019.
Time: 5:30pm-7:30pm.
Place: TRUSU Boardroom.
